Well, we couldn't have asked for a better (or funnier) start to the football season, could we? Arsenal have won two on the bounce, the Spudz are bottom of the league, and last night Ronaldo got himself booked for three matches whilst united are looking seriously short of firepower. Enjoy it while it lasts, good to see Tottenham are already fighting for a bottom four finish...

Sparta Prague played a very physical first half against The Arsenal last night, but the lads managed to match them during a very patchy 45 minutes; Fabregas even managed to crock that thug, Tomas Repka.
Alex Hleb - not quite as lethal in
front of goal as Rich Ashby

Sparta's truculence faded as they ran out of energy during the second half and Fabregas and Hleb both produced tidy finishes to hopefully put the tie to bed.

Rich and myself are off to see Arsenal next weekend against Sven's Man City, its looking an intriguing game already.

Only 3 weeks left at work now, more importantly, there are only 3 lunchtime 5-a-sides to go. Today's game was absolute gash (i.e. we lost), will be looking for a marked improvement next week. I've been granted a testimonial game on September 4th so I'll need to be firing on all cylinders by then.

In other news, we're all off to Steeple this weekend for a bash round at my sisters. Will try and get some pix for the site. Have a good weekend, be lucky!
